Baby showers are fun to go to but finding a gift that everyone else didn't get as well is tough. All babies need pretty much the same thing, so how can your gift stand out? Personalize it!

Personalized baby gifts are the way to go! They make an impression on the parents and are often kept as baby keepsakes. Get everything baby needs, personalize some items like a baby bib or baby blanket, then add it all in to one baby gift basket.

One of the first milestones for baby and family is the baptism. As parents, you'll look at several baptism gowns before finding the perfect one. Keep in mind, this outfit is not only going to be worn once and then forgotten about. Often times baptism gowns are kept and handed down to the next child or in some cases, to the baby's children - a long ways down the road.

If you are looking for a baptism gown for a little girl, this Silk Dupioni Bubble Gown is perfect! It is slightly off white in color with elegant bubble tucking enhanced by natural rayon pearled flowerettes and natural venise lace. It also comes with a hat. You can find this gown at SimplyBabyGifts.com

Robert, 68, and his wife Grace Hightower confirmed that they have welcomed a baby girl. Helen Grace was born via surrogate and weighed in at 7 lbs., 2 oz.

Robert and Grace have been married since 1997 and are parents to a son, Elliot, 13. Robert is also dad to Drena, 40, and Raphael, 35, from his former wife Diahnne Abbott. He also shares twin sons Julian and Aaron with his ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith.

Guess it's time to throw a party - this couple probably needs a lot of newborn  baby gifts - starting over at their age!

So you have a baby shower to go to and no idea what to buy for a gift. Sure, you could go with the same ole', same ole', but where's the fun in that?

Everybody at that shower will likely give the usual; diapers, burp rags and all in ones. You want to give something more, something memorable. Something that will make the new mother squeal with delight. It is not difficult, you just have to use your imagination a little bit and be willing to think "outside the box."

Consider a rocking horse. It is an old-fashioned toy, but kids love to ride them. Of course, it will not be something that baby can use right away, but it will not be long before he or she can, and it will make for many hours of enjoyment.

Babies love to be swaddled and held close. Swaddle wraps and shoulder slings are great ideas for keeping baby happy and feeling safe. They come in many colors and designs, so choosing one should not be difficult. Mom will be thankful to have a swaddler or shoulder sling. They will allow her to do other things while baby is sleeping inside.

If you know the sex of the baby, it is much easier to buy something personal. If you know what the parents plan to name the baby, you are batting a thousand. You could personalize the baby gifts by adding the baby's name on it. New mothers love getting things with their baby's name on it.

Ask the new mom beforehand what colors she is decorating the nursery in and find a basket that will match as it makes a great nursery room accessory and she is sure to use it for years in the baby's room if it matches.

Do not forget about the new mother when considering buying shower gifts. There are many books on the market ranging in subject matter from taking care of baby to taking care of mom during the first years of her child's life. These books are very helpful and entertaining and will give her many ideas and advise to help her through the tough times as a new mother.

Siblings of the new baby will be excited as well for the upcoming birth. Being a big sister or brother is a big deal. Give them a gift of matching t-shirts that say "I'm the big sister" or "I'm the big brother" so he or she can be proud of the new addition.

It does not matter how much money you have to spend, it is the thought that counts. When you give a gift that you have put a great deal of thought into, it definitely shows. The new mom will be impressed by your thoughtfulness and be very thankful for your consideration. Do not be afraid to think "outside the box" when deciding on what to gift for a baby shower.

Give a mobile that will both fascinate baby during downtime in the crib and lull little one to sleep with a soothing tune.

Neutral colors will blend well with a wide range of decor. Mobile has a string which adjusts up to 78" and has a loop at the end for hanging (above a crib or dresser). Excellent baby shower gift!
